About

The Tolman Collection was founded by former US diplomat Norman Tolman and his wife Mary in 1972 in Tokyo. The gallery is now run by the second generation, Allison Tolman. The gallery specializes in contemporary Japanese graphic art, handling more than four dozen established artists. The Tolman Collection holds numerous shows at museums and various venues throughout Japan and abroad. Based in Tokyo and New York, the gallery participates in international art fairs, introducing original prints and paintings, many of which are exclusively made for The Tolman Collection.
